Match Review LS15 | DPMM FC 2-5 Selangor FC | Malaysia Super League 2025/26 | Pleased with the Players’ Courage

Selangor FC secured three points in the 15th Malaysia Super League 2025/26 fixture after defeating hosts DPMM FC 5-2 away from home yesterday.

The match saw both sides pushing hard for an early breakthrough before Chrigor Moraes opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a header from a Mamadou Diarra delivery. Four minutes later, Chrigor doubled Selangor’s lead with another header, this time assisted by Nooa Laine. DPMM FC pulled one back in the 42nd minute through Hakeme Said before the interval.

After the restart, the Red and Yellow continued to press and were rewarded when Nooa Laine found the net in the 48th minute following a pass from Quentin Cheng. Chrigor Moraes then completed his headed hat-trick in the 58th minute, before DPMM FC scored their second goal through Miguel Oliveira in the 62nd minute. However, Chrigor Moraes extended the lead once again with Selangor’s fifth goal in the 90+1 minute, ensuring the Red Giants collected maximum points at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

This marked Kim Pan-gon’s first victory, and while he was pleased with the spirit shown by his players, he stressed that the team must not become complacent.

“First of all, I truly appreciate the supporters who came and gave us their support. I am very excited about what the players have shown. They displayed great spirit and played the Selangor way, showing tremendous courage against a strong side like DPMM FC,” explained Kim Pan-gon.

“This win is just one step forward and the journey is still a long way. We are in the process of strengthening Selangor’s DNA and shaping the team’s character. Therefore, we cannot be easily satisfied and must continue to move forward to build our team identity,” he emphasised.
